Parts of the internet explained

Do you know how many parts we have in the internet. The portion of the internet (also known as the surface web) which we generally use, consists only 10% of the total information that is available on the internet. There is a much larger portion of the internet which is hidden from the common people or the part of the web not indexed by a web search engine. Shocked right? So today in this blog I am going to explain you about the different parts of the internet.
So basically there are eight different parts of the internet:
1. The surface web
2. The bergie web
3. The deep web
4. The charter web
5. The Marianas web
6. The fog/virus soup
7. The primarch system
And last but not the least, The dark web
But in this blog, today we will be mostly talking about, the surface web, the deep web and the dark web

THE SURFACE WEB:
The name itself suggests, the surface web (also called the visible webindexed web or the light net) is the part of the internet that is readily available to the general public and searchable with standard web engines. The surface web is made with a collection of public web pages on a server accessible by any search engine. It consists of Google, YouTube, Facebook, Yahoo, Bing and with many other millions and billions of web pages.
According to one source as of June 14, 2015 Google's index of the surface web contains about 14.5 billion pages.
People mainly use this web for their daily needs, such as entertainment, education, for staying in touch with their friends and families, for business purposes etc.

THE DEEP WEB:
Not to confuse it with the dark web. The deep webinvisible web or the hidden web, are parts of the internet whose contents are not indexed by the standard web engines. It is almost 90% of the total internet. This is just opposite to the surface web which is accessible for anyone using the Internet. Computer scientist Miachael K. Bergman is credited with coining the term in 2001 as a search indexing term.
The content of the deep web is hidden behind HTTP forms and includes many very common uses such as webmail, online banking, private or otherwise restricted access social media pages and profiles,  some web forms that require registration for viewing content,  and services that users must pay for.
The content of the deep web can be located and accessed by a direct URL or IP address,  but may require a password or other security access to get past public website pages.
Public Information on the deep web is currently 400 to 550 times larger than the commonly defined world wide web. The deep web contains 7500 TB of information compared to 19 TB of information in the surface web.

THE DARK WEB:
This is a site where a common person should never visit. The dark web has often been confused with the deep web, the parts of the web not indexed (searchable) by common search engines. People often relate it with illegal activities such as drug traffickingcounterfeit currency, cyber arms and weapons, hiring hitman, and many more such activities (let's not go in deep). The term Dark web first emerged in 2009, however, it is unknown when the actual dark web first emerged. Many internet users only use the surface web, data that can be assessed by a typical Google browser. The dark web forms a small part of the deep web, but requires custom software in order to access its content. Through the dark web, private computer networks can communicate and conduct business and anonymously without divulging  identifying information, such as a user's location. The dark web can be accessed by popular networks such as Tor, Freenet, I2P and Riffle operated by public organisations in individuals. Users of the dark web refer to the regular web as clearness due to its unencrypted nature. The Tor dark web or onionland uses the traffic anonymization techniques of onion routing under the network's top level domain suffix .onion. The dark web is full of hackers and scammers, so you are not probably visiting it. Right?

Hope you liked it. I have tried my best to explain you the different parts of the internet(in short as it is a very big topic). I will be soon coming with a dedicated blog about the dark web. So stay tuned till the next one.THANK YOU.
